The City of Dunedin, Florida is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Building Inspector (Plumbing & Mechanical) who possess a Standard Inspector (BN) license with Plumbing and Mechanical inspector qualifications from the State of Florida, Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board (BCAIB) OR who meet the eligibility requirements in section 468.609(2), F.S. for examination and certification as a Plumbing Inspector and Mechanical Inspector from the BCAIB.
Candidates who possess International Code Council (ICC) combination certifications as a Plumbing Inspector (P5) and Mechanical Inspector (M5) would typically meet the Florida eligibility requirements for Plumbing Inspector and Mechanical Inspector licenses.
Candidates who possess a Standard Inspector (BN) license with Plumbing and Mechanical inspector qualifications plus any additional inspector qualifications such as Building, Electrical (Commercial or Residential), or Residential are highly desirable.
Additional Licensure Incentive Pay Program: Grants a 5% salary adjustment per certification to employees that attain additional BCAIB licenses in inspector and plans examiner categories after being hired.
